About
I was deeply inspired after seeing Eluveitie live in Manchester and set out to create my own brand of Punk/Metal incorporating elements from Irish folk music.
I bought myself a bouzouki, stole my dad’s penny whistle and before too long Dead Celts was born.
I started with the loose brief “What if the Pogues were a metal band?”. This isn’t exactly where I think I landed, but I’m extremely proud of the result.
Based on the Roman invasion of England in 43AD, I wanted to imagine stories of tragedy and defiance in the face of certain defeat.
I hope you enjoy it. It’s more than a little niche, so if you do; please share it with any like-minded weirdos, as I’d love for them to hear it.
